Overview

This stunning Georgian manor house in Surrey required sympathetic lighting that would complement the property's architectural heritage while providing modern functionality and safety along the extensive driveway and garden paths.

Working closely with the homeowners and their landscape architect, we designed a comprehensive lighting scheme featuring twelve Victorian style lamp posts in traditional black finish, each topped with hexagonal lanterns in keeping with the Georgian period.

The installation included a mix of 8ft and 10ft lamp posts strategically positioned to illuminate the 200-metre driveway and key garden areas, creating an elegant evening ambiance while ensuring safe navigation throughout the grounds.

Challenge

The property's conservation area status required all lighting to be in keeping with the Georgian architecture. Additionally, the existing underground electrical infrastructure needed careful integration with the new lighting system.

Solution

We recommended our Victorian lamp post range with Georgian-style lanterns, providing authentic period aesthetics while incorporating modern LED technology for efficiency and longevity. Each post was custom-finished to match the property's existing ironwork.
